Freight Forwarder

There is an old-fashioned view of the freight forwarder's job. Many think we are either truck drivers or office workers filling in customs forms. To get some idea of what freight forwarder does, let's takes a look on the world trade. Global trade is important for everyone. Just imagine that the whole one day world trading today is almost equivalent to the total world trade for the whole year of 1950s!

However, who is responsible for getting these goods to the right place at the right time and in good condition? This is the job of logistics and the job of freight forwarder. Logistics control the supply chain, meaning, goods needed by consumers are available for sale and for manufacturers, logistics service enable them to keep small stock either raw materials or finished products.

Freight forwarders work closely together with manufacturers, sellers and buyers to plan the movement of goods with little loss of time and money as possible. Thus, modern freight forwarders are actually offer logistics services by providing warehousing services, organizing transportation of goods all over the world (by sea, air and land) and of course entering all the necessary data into information system so that we could track and trace the movement of good.
